Dressing Sense and Addressing Audience

Schedule for Phase 2 - Module 4

24th June 2017 - 25th June 2017

First Impression is a long Lasting Impression

Dressing sense speaks Volume

  • Dress provides two basic functions for humans: as a modifier of appearance and as a medium for communication. For an outfit to function as a means of communication, individuals need to assign a meaning to the dress. What meanings are tied to what aspects of the dress are learned over a lifetime. The sooner students learn about the nuances of getting dressed well, the better. We would be addressing following topics in dressing sense:
    • What meanings do individuals link to dress?
    • How do people learn to dress their body shapes?
    • How does an individual's dress influence other's perceptions and behaviors?
    • How does one's dress impact self-perceptions and behaviors?
    • How is dress impacted by interaction with others? What factors account for individual differences in dress?
    • How does dress function within groups?
  • Body language is very important to effective communication as it sets the tone of the conversation. Body language is primarily controlled by the subconscious mind of every individual, so it can actually reveal if there's a difference in what you are saying and what you are actually thinking.
  • In our workshop we would be addressing how a good body language can be an aid to one's confidence and overall personality and what all one should take care of, while giving Presentation and addressing Large Audience.
